The projects currently underway aim to restore the square to its role as a friendly, fluid place, by making it part of a greener, calmer vision integrated into Geneva's urban environment. Work began in 2024, with an underground extension of the station planned from 2026, to accommodate the expected increase in traffic (100,000 daily passengers by 2030).
